Aadhaar PVC card: how to order it online for ₹75, delivery time and status
Order the official Aadhaar PVC card on myAadhaar (uidai.gov.in → Order PVC Card). You log in with your Aadhaar number and an OTP on your registered mobile, pay ₹75 (including GST and speed post; it was ₹50 before January 2026), and India Post delivers it to the address in Aadhaar within up to 30 days. You can order for yourself or someone else; the card always goes to the address in that person's Aadhaar. Since UIDAI's October 2025 circular, new PVC cards come without a hologram. That is normal, and all forms of Aadhaar (letter, PVC card, e-Aadhaar) are equally valid.

The Aadhaar PVC card is UIDAI's own plastic, wallet-size Aadhaar card. It is useful if your paper letter is torn, faded or lost, or you simply want something that survives a wash. You don't need to visit a centre or a shop. You order it online, and the post office brings it home.

How to order the Aadhaar PVC card online
- Go to uidai.gov.in and choose Order PVC Card, or open myAadhaar (myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in). Type the address yourself; don't use links from messages.
- Choose Myself or Someone Else.
- Enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number and log in with the OTP sent to the registered mobile.
- Check the card preview. It shows the details that will be printed.
- Pay ₹75 online and save the payment receipt and request number shown.
- Use Check Status on the same page to track it. India Post delivers the card to the Aadhaar address.
Check the address before you pay. The card is printed with the latest details in Aadhaar and posted to the address in Aadhaar, not to an address you type at checkout. Moved house? Update your address in Aadhaar first, wait until the update is done, then order.
Ordering for a parent or child
UIDAI's FAQ says an Aadhaar holder whose mobile is registered with Aadhaar can order PVC cards for self or others. Useful cases:
- Elderly parents who don't use a smartphone: you order and pay.
- Children: order for them from a parent's login.
Remember, the card still goes to the address in the other person's Aadhaar, and it prints their latest details.

No hologram on your new card? That's normal
In a circular dated 17 October 2025, UIDAI discontinued the Aadhaar hologram on PVC cards. Cards printed after that come without it. Some pages may still describe the old card with a hologram. The security features UIDAI lists today are:

Card not received?
- First check Check Status on the PVC card page, using the request number from your receipt.
- Give it the full 30 days UIDAI mentions. India Post delivers it, so a wrong or incomplete address in Aadhaar is the usual reason it doesn't arrive.
