How we verify information
Our sourcing rules, update schedule, how we handle estimates and how to report a mistake.
Money and identity-document rules affect people’s lives, so we follow strict rules for every page.
1. Official sources first
Every key fact — a fee, a deadline, a rate, a limit — must come from an official source: a government website (.gov.in / .nic.in), a gazette notification, an office memorandum, a circular, a PIB release, or the official portal of UIDAI, the Income Tax Department, EPFO, NPCI, the Election Commission or the Government of Maharashtra. Each guide shows these in a Key facts table with a source link.
2. “Last verified” dates
Each page shows the date we last checked it against official sources. We re-check deadline pages at least monthly, and all pages when a Budget, pay commission decision or major rule change happens.
3. Estimates are labelled
Where official numbers do not exist yet — for example the 8th Pay Commission fitment factor or an expected DA hike — we say so clearly, show the range being discussed, and never present a guess as fact.
4. Our own words, no copying
We write every page ourselves. We do not copy text from other websites, and we do not use screenshots of government portals.
5. Calculators
Calculators follow published formulas (tax slabs, DA rules, gratuity formula, EPF rules). Each tool lists what it includes and what it leaves out. They run entirely in your browser.
6. Corrections
If you spot an error, email contact@humainone.in with the page link and the official source. We fix confirmed errors quickly and note important corrections on the corrections page.
7. Independence
We have no link with any government department, political party, bank or agent. Advertising, if shown, does not influence what we write.
