About this section
Aadhaar rules changed a lot in 2026: a new Aadhaar app replaced mAadhaar in January, the Aadhaar (Enrolment and Update) Regulations were amended in May, and the free online document update on myAadhaar was extended to 14 June 2027. This section keeps track of what you can do online, what needs a centre visit, and what each update officially costs.
The only official Aadhaar website is uidai.gov.in (and myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in). The helpline is 1947. Look-alike sites such as “aadhaar-update” domains are scams.
