How to check your PAN–Aadhaar link status (no login) and what each message means
Go to incometax.gov.in → Quick Links → Link Aadhaar Status, enter your PAN and Aadhaar number, and click View Link Aadhaar Status. No login is needed. If it says linked, you are done. If it says not linked, pay the ₹1,000 fee and link. If it says the request is pending with UIDAI, wait a few days and check again.

- Open incometax.gov.in. Scroll to Quick Links and click Link Aadhaar Status.
- Enter your PAN and Aadhaar number.
- Click View Link Aadhaar Status.

Linked — but is the PAN operative?
After linking, it can take up to 30 days for the PAN to become operative again. Use Verify Your PAN in Quick Links to see the PAN status, and ask your bank or broker to refresh their records.

How can I check PAN–Aadhaar link status without logging in?
Use Quick Links → Link Aadhaar Status on incometax.gov.in. Enter PAN and Aadhaar and click View Link Aadhaar Status.
The status says “sent to UIDAI for validation”. How long does it take?
Usually a few days. If it stays pending for more than two weeks, check for a name or date-of-birth mismatch and raise a grievance.
My status says linked but the bank says PAN is invalid. Why?
The bank’s records may be old, or the PAN may take up to 30 days to become operative after linking. Ask the bank to re-verify.
